Smiling, Caring and Learning Together on a Journey with God

Winter

This week we have been thinking about animals that live in cold places.

We have learnt lots of facts and realised the size of some of them. We have continued to enjoy watching the penguins on the webcam at Edinburgh Zoo, we find it quite relaxing at the end of a busy day.

We had fun watching ice melt and seeing the difference it made having it indoors or out. We will be doing more with ice next week as we have loved it so.

We have been practising reading numbers to 10 and beyond and a lot of us are ordering numbers confidently beyond 20! We are also practising saying our numbers to beyond 10 and most of us can get to 20 now!

In phonics, we have learnt another 4 sounds: ur, ow, oi and ear. We are finding some of these quite hard to remember so any practise at home would be amazing.
