Smiling, Caring and Learning Together on a Journey with God
What a fun week!
There has been lots of excitement in Oak Class this last week starting on Monday with a letter from the witch wondering where the naughty dragon from Room on the Broom had got to. This led the children to think about creating ‘wanted’ posters and even setting up a police station in the classroom.
I don't think we actually had a police officer in our class yesterday for our Children in Need dress up but we did have some interesting and varied aspirations including chefs, superheroes, footballers, princesses, builders, a jockey, a vet, a biologist, a scientist, a computer engineer, a ballerina, a bus driver. I wonder if one day they will follow in these career paths - in the meantime they did a great job raising money for Children in Need. Thank you for all your support.
On Thursday the children enjoyed taking part in their chosen Expressive Arts and Design activities and hopefully shared with you what they got up to. A fun time was had by all.
In Music we have begun to learn our Christmas songs in readiness for our retelling of the Nativity. We will learn more about that next week.
In Mathematics we have been continuing to work on our skills of addition and subtraction and practising recording of number sentences. Next week we will be using these skills to help us in various problem solving activities.
