Wormeries and Fantastic Finish
We have had a very exciting week this week. To begin our week, we made wormeries! We hope that Superworm will come and visit these worm homes.
“I liked making the wormeries, I liked putting the sand in.” Bobby.
On Friday we had our Fantastic Finish to celebrate the end of our topic and all of our fantastic learning. We had a Julia Donaldson themed day, including a ‘Nyewood School Bake Off’!
Each class made a Gruffalo Cake, which was then judged by Mrs Cobb. The children had lots of fun doing this…
“I liked making the cakes. I liked getting the stickers for making it and wearing them at the end of the day.” Niamh.
“I liked it when we had a competition of who was the best cake and Mrs Cobb tried the cakes. We came 2nd, Sycamore came 3rd, and Oak Class came 1st.” Emily.
“I enjoyed baking the cakes because I enjoyed stirring the mixture.”
“I liked Mrs Cobb tasting the cakes and Mrs Cobb thought about who was the best and Oak Class came first.” Nathaniel.
“I liked it when we were learning about the Gruffalo.” Harry.
“I liked it when we did the Gruffalo dance because I liked doing the jump at the end.”
