In Hawthorn Class, we spent World Book Day learning all about the author, Roald Dahl.

In the morning, we learnt about Roald Dahl's life and his inspirations for his stories. We wrote our own fact file about him. We spent some time looking at a few of his books, such as, The Twits, Fantastic Mr Fox, The Enormous Crocodile, and we even read some of his poems together. 

In the afternoon, we started listening to the new chapter book that we chose, Matilda. Then we visited the Library for some independent reading time and to change our books. We made our own World Book Day bookmarks to take home.
