Smiling, Caring and Learning Together on a Journey with God
In RE we made our Easter cards. We talked about what the different symbols we used meant and how they link to the Easter story:
‘The egg is for the tomb because it’s hollow like after Jesus left it.’
‘The cross is where Jesus died for our sins.’
In DT we worked in teams to build bridges to cross a river. We thought about the materials we could use and how strong they are.
Today we had a special worship for Father Andrew. We wrote a prayer for him and shared our memories of him too:
Thank you for Father Andrew. Thank you for his wonderful worships. We love acting out all of the stories with him. We will miss his special story telling voice because it makes us feel happy. Please look after Father Andrew on his next, fun journey. Please help him to remember our Nyewood family and our smiley faces.
In history we learnt about the Wright Brothers and why they were important.
‘They made the first plane to fly but it only lasted 12 seconds! It was in 1903.’
‘There second plane lasted 5 minutes when it flew.’
Have a great Easter!
