Smiling, Caring and Learning Together on a Journey with God
This week we were very lucky to have a visit from Neal Layton, illustrator of the picture book Stanley's Stick. His visit encouraged us to draw pictures from the story and act out our own stick inspired role-play scenarios.
"I maked a fishing rod and we pretended to go fishing." said Noah.
This week we have also been learning about rhyming words.
"Cheese and keys rhyme." said Lily.
"...and sock and clock!" added Conor.
Our sound of the week is 's' and our number of the week is zero. The children have really enjoyed hunting for these around the Early Years unit.
Why not continue this at home and see if your child can spot 's' or 0 in books, newspapers, road signs, car numberplate etc...
