Smiling, Caring and Learning Together on a Journey with God
Children in Need
What a busy and exciting week it has been!
Yesterday we had an Expressive Arts and Design afternoon. We went into different places and joined with children from other classes to do lots of exciting activities, some of us did knitting, sewing, painting, clay or cooking amongst other things. Some of our parents were lucky enough to join us for the afternoon.
Today we all dressed up as what we would like to be when we grow up. We had lots of different costumes in our school. We found a new song about Pudsey on Supermovers which we enjoyed dancing to.
In Mathematics this week we were learning about multiplying and dividing. We used our counting in 2s, 5s and 10s to help us solve the calculations. We found this method made our mathematics much faster. Please could you help us practise counting in 2s and 5s at home as we will be using this again next week.
In English we changed part of the Tin Forest story to make a new version. We started to write our new story then edited our work to improve it. We have been really thinking about adding adjectives and expanded noun phrases to make our writing more interesting.
We are going to be doing a large piece of junk modelling in the next few weeks, so please could you save us any boxes, bottles or other useful items.
