Nyewood CE Infant School

Smiling, Caring and Learning Together on a Journey with God

Two weeks of Blog

Sorry, due to  our Fantastic Finish last week we ran out of time to do our Blog.

Thanks to everyone who came to see our Tin Man and looked at all our work from this term. We were very proud of our writing and how much we have done this term.

We are now in the full excitement of Christmas. We are practising hard for our Nativity performance on Wedsnesday next week (12th) at 9.30 and then the School Carol service in the evening at St. Wilfrid’s Church.

In English we are looking at The Snowman by Raymond Briggs and we have turned our tuff tray into a snowy place.

In Mathematics we are looking at measuring. We practised using a ruler to measure lines and thought about what we use to measure lengths and weights.

We have designed and made a bug hotel in Science and put it outside to see if our local minibeasts want to use it as their winter home. We filled it with leaves, soil, twigs, paper and straws and have put it in the Conservation Area.

Just a quick reminder that the closing date for applications to Junior School is 15th January. Even if you have a sibling at your chosen school, you still need to fill in the online form. The form can be found if you go onto the West Sussex Admissions website.

Hopefully we will see lots of parents and family at our performance next week.
