Smiling, Caring and Learning Together on a Journey with God
Brilliant beanstalks, visit to the Juniors and Au Revoir Mrs G...
What a busy week it has been in Chestnut Class. Here are just some of the things we have been up to...
Our week began with an Inset day :)
On Tuesday we found our runner beans had grown alot over the holiday and were now ready to be planted outside. We drew them, labelled the different parts of the plant and then wrote about how they had changed.
On Wednesday, lots of us brought in donations for the upcoming summer fayre and we got to wear our own clothes. We did some independent writing with Mrs Summers and then some Mathematics in the afternoon.
On Thursday we visited the Juniors, not once, but twice, for Worship and were complemented on our amazing singing voices.
Friday was Year 2 Leaver's photos - we all had our best smiles ready! During the day we created pieces of mixed media art work, based on the first picture from "Leon and the Place Between". Sonny showed us his magic plate spinning and even got Mrs Grimaldi involved as his (willing) volunteer.
We also said "au revoir" to Mrs G who is leaving us after 6 years as a TA at Nyewood. She will always remain an important and memorable part of our Nyewood Family.
Also this week: Lewie and Poppy achieved their 50 reads certificate. Well done!
I wonder if next week will be as busy!
