Nyewood CE Infant School

Smiling, Caring and Learning Together on a Journey with God

Happy half term!

A short but very busy half term!

We have reached the half way point of the Summer term and haven't we had some lovely Spring / early Summer weather? Our children have particularly enjoyed all of their outdoor learning time either in the Woodland or on the "big field".

Early years have been having some fantastic hands on experiences with their baby chicks experience and now they have stick insects and caterpillars to watch and enjoy.  All these experiences have enhanced their learning, as well as their first school trip on a coach to the Aldingbourne centre.

Key stage one have been immersing themselves in their new topic of "Oh I do like to be beside the seaside" including pirates! We are looking forward to our pirate day next half term when we have the Rainbow theatre visiting us again.

In our worships we have begun to learn The Lord's prayer with signing which the children were very good at, as well as learning some new songs.  We have also been thinking about using our prayer time for reflection and talking to God.

Enjoy the half term holiday and we look forward to seeing you all back at school on Monday 2nd June.
