A busy final half-term for Apple Class
What can we say about the final half-term of this school year?? We have been super busy in our learning. In maths, we have been learning about division, time, statistics and geometry. In writing, we have been learning about how to write in the past tense, using appropriate suffixes and making our writing more interesting by using conjunctions. In science, we have been learning about the different parts of trees and plants and how each plant or tree is different (or in some cases, the same!). In PE, we have been learning about games, showing resilience and perseverance and showing that we can work as a team while playing rounders on the field.
We have also had our annual trip to the beach. A massive "Thank You" to all of you that were able to come with us to the beach. Without our parent volunteers, a trip like this could not take place.
Finally, we concluded the year with a leavers' worship at the church last week. Again, thank you to those of you that were able to walk down with us and keep our children safe. I am sure you will agree, the children have done us all proud and have come a long way during their time in Year 2, both educationally and emotionally. Well done Year 2! Good luck for in Year 3.
