On Monday, we celebrated Advent day - the first day of the countdown to Christmas!

Our classroom turned into a mini Santa’s workshop as we got stuck into some festive crafts. We made colourful paper chains that now stretch across the ceilings. We also made paper snowflakes, and they look so pretty hanging in the windows!

One of the best parts of the day was learning about and making our very own Advent wreath. Instead of using traditional greenery, we cut out handprints and then, we put them all together to form a wreath—a lovely reminder of how we’re all connected at Christmas time.

We also made our own Christmas pictures that have been used to create a class advent calendar that the children will be able to open every day at school and learn about each picture.
