This half term we have been learning facts about the first moon landing. We started by exploring a box that we borrowed from the Novium museum in Chichester. It contained space suits, helmets and a special bottle that filters water.

We discovered when it happened and who walked on the moon. Maybe you could ask us to tell us all the amazing facts we now know. In our writing, our final piece of work was writing a fact sheet that we had spent a few weeks planning.
In maths, we have been learning about multiplying and dividing. We practised counting in 2s, 5s and 10s to help our calculations. We have found that working with our maths buddies has made us much more confident mathematicians, and helped us practise using our maths language.

We have also been practising our number bonds to 10. The game below is a fun way you can continue this at home.
In science, we have been looking at animal lifecycles and habitats. We learnt about squirrels and discovered that their nests are called dreys, and their babies are only raised by the mothers.
We have been dancing this term in PE. We thought about different ways of moving to music, listening to the speed and the volume. We danced to Mars by Gustav Holst.
This week has been very exciting. We had a trip to St Richards church. We looked at all the features and had a short worship as well.

We also had a visit from the author John Bond. He talked to us about his book and we learnt how to draw the sausage dog! We were very lucky and we all got a signed copy of the book.
