Smiling, Caring and Learning Together on a Journey with God

Happy half term!

We have had a great start to our summer term...

The first half of the summer term is nearly over! It has gone so quickly and the children have been so busy learning different things.

In our writing, we have started learning about pirates! We are looking forward to our pirate dress up day on Monday 16th June, where the Rainbow Theatre will be visiting too.

In mathematics, we have been focussing on measures. We have been learning how to measure length, weight and capacity. As you can see from the photograph, we all loved using different containers in the water tray to measure different capacities. Recently we have been learning about money. Do you have any loose change at home? Encourage your child to look at the coins with you to see if they can name any.

In science we have been learning about plants. We have been learning about the structure of plants and naming the different parts.

In our non-core learning we have been enjoying our music lessons. We have loved listening to the beat of different pieces of music and trying to clap to the beat.

In PE, we created a dance together. In our dance, we explored moving to different pathways as well as mirroring with a partner. We also learnt about how to dance on our own, in a group or together as a whole class.

In RE, we have begun learning about the faith Judiasm. It has been interesting to learn about the key parts of this faith and how this differs from the Christian faith.

We hope everyone enjoys their half term break and we are looking forward to seeing you all back on Monday 2nd June.
