Smiling, Caring and Learning Together on a Journey with God

Summer term 2

We have had a great second half of the summer term in Sycamore Class...

This half term we have had many exciting things happening. A highlight for us was our trip to the beach. We loved being able to explore our local beach and especially enjoyed our visit from Paul from Sussex Underwater. He helped us understand more about our local beach and helped us to find sea creatures such as crabs.

We also loved our Sports Day with the junior school. We loved the games and some of our favourites were the space hoppers, the tennis relay and the egg and spoon race. The children showed excellent teamwork skills during this event, such as cheering each other on and showing our school vision of caring for each other.

This half term we have had lots of transition opportunities. We have liked being able to visit our new classroom and new class teacher. We are all very excited to continue our journey into Year 2, and some of us are understandably nervous too. We have talked lots about how to cope with this change, knowing that our friends and God are with us to help us.

A big thank you to all the children in Sycamore Class this year who have worked so hard and have achieved so much. Also a big thank you to the parents/carers for their continued support.

We hope that everyone has a fantastic summer holidays! We are looking forward to seeing you all back in school on Thursday 4th September.
