Outside Learning at Nyewood
These week I have enjoyed seeing the wonderful learning that has been happening outside...
This year our teaching teams have been thinking about how to include even more outside learning in our days. It has been wonderful to see that in action this week when I have been looking at the learning happening across the school.
In KS1, I particularly enjoyed seeing the children's fabulous outside mathematics - there was super work around calculations using chalk, giant number cards and sorting hoops! There were also some wonderful tree rubbings happening this week - I was very impressed by the descriptions of the textures and patterns.
In the Early Years I have loved to see such wonderful collaboration - the children have worked together brilliantly to solve problems, make giant creations, including a rocket, and complete obstacle courses.
It was to see our super conservation area in use, with den building, bug hunting and exploration galore!
Your telephone parent consultations next week to find out how your child has settled into their new class or year group.
