Smiling, Caring and Learning Together on a Journey with God

Happy New Year

We hope you had a lovely Christmas break. We started the term thinking about Winter and animals that live in the cold. We read the story 'Let's go home little bear' by Martin Waddell and talked about the words used in the story. The weather meant we could explore ice outside, and our hands got very cold! We have also been reading lots of books written by Julia Donaldson, which we really enjoy.

We then moved onto thinking about minibeast hibernating and set up a bug hunt tray in the classroom.

In maths we have been using the language or more and less. We have been comparing heights of our models to practise describing their size. We have also been looking at 1 more and 1 less with calculations, using counters and Numicon.
