Smiling, Caring and Learning Together on a Journey with God
Friday 22nd May
Daily exercise idea:
Why not try being active with this week’s learning? Hide your written sentences and/or ‘oa’ words around the room or around your home. Ask your grown up to say one of the sentences/words… how quickly can you find it?
Can you read these questions that contain this week’s sound? Thumbs up if you agree or down if you don’t agree.
Can a boat float?
Can a goat put on a coat?
Now try to think of your own silly sentences using a word from your Disco Phonics list you made yesterday. Choose a sentence to write down but don’t tell your grown-up which one! Don’t forget to use capital letters, finger spaces and full stops!
Now it’s your turn to be the teacher! Ask your grown-up to read your sentence and draw a picture to match it. Don’t help them! Did they draw the right picture?!
Gather together some of your toys. You could use teddies or dolls or cars or animals – whatever you fancy. Can you put them in size order from longest to shortest? What about from tallest to smallest?
Grown-up’s Heads Up!
As next week is half term, we won’t be posting any learning tasks. However we would still love to keep in contact with you all. Therefore the EYFS Team will continue to post daily blogs about what we have been up to in our spare time. We hope you enjoy reading these!
