Smiling, Caring and Learning Together on a Journey with God
Cherry Class Blog
Hi from Cherry Class!
We've had another super learning week. We've been playing games, taking turns and sharing as you can see from the photo. We've also been exploring Harvest time. We've been talking about where our food comes from and investigating lots of different fruits and vegetable; looking closely at them, feeling their textures, smelling them and tasting some. We recorded our observations by drawing pictures of the fruit and vegetables we investigated.
We read the Enormous Turnip and have been acting out the story and re-telling it with our friends. "They pulled and pulled but it wouldn't budge," said Harry, joining in re-telling the story.
We also talked about the cross in our Prayer Corner and why the cross is important to Christians. We made crosses to add to a whole school display in the main hall. Patrick showed me the cross he made outside using a big paintbrush and water.
The weather is still warm so we'd ask to make sure your child brings in their own water bottle but please don't put it in their book bag; we are finding leaking water bottles are ruining some of the books. Thanks!
