Smiling, Caring and Learning Together on a Journey with God

Happy Advent Day!

This week has been a very busy week full of Christmas fun!

In maths this week, we have been learning all about time. We have learnt how to tell o'clock and half past on clock as well as knowing what each hand on the clock means.

In writing, we have begun publishing our very own non-fiction books all about Bognor Regis! The class are using their knowledge from our trip to the museum, our visit from the mayor and the town crier, and all our recent topic learning to help write their information texts.

In Science this week, we have created our seed packaging with junk modelling. We thought about how we could keep the seed safe whilst going across the river and chose the materials we think we would need.

On Friday, it was advent day! Throughout the week, we had been creating some Christmas decorations that were hung up for display in the classroom on advent day. We enjoyed listening to some Christmas music whilst we did our learning to get us in the Christmas spirit.

We have also been practising for our Christmas worship. We are now performing without the use of our scripts; we're nearly ready! We will be filming our dress rehearsal on Wednesday 6th December and performing to our grown-ups on Friday 8th December. Please don't forget costumes if you are a narrator, child, present, mince pie, Christmas tree or sheep!
