Nyewood CE Infant School
Smiling, Caring and Learning Together on a Journey with God
World Book Day
This week we had lots of exciting things going on!
On Tuesday, we had a visit from the RNLI as part of our 'Heroes' topic. They came to talk to us all about safety around water. They taught us all about the signs and flags that we will notice around areas of water and their meaning. We learnt the acronym SAFE which will help us if we ever get into trouble around water. See if we can tell you what this means!
On Thursday it was World Book Day; we came to school dressed as an animal of our choice. We read books about a range of animals and learnt lots of new exciting facts! We then spent time creating our very own story books that look good enough to be on the library shelf! In the afternoon we enjoyed sharing our stories with the rest of the school.
On Friday the sun was finally shining so we got to go outside and play football. We recapped the skills of dribbling and put these into practice by playing a game called Truck and Trailer.
- On Tuesday it is our class worship at 9:30 in the school hall.
- On Tuesday The Sussex Police will be in school visiting.
- Any children that attend Dancehouse will have their performance on Wednesday.
