Smiling, Caring and Learning Together on a Journey with God
Tuesday 31st March
Yesterday in school, we completed our maths and writing learning from the blog and then we worked creatively by making a car wash, creating number games and using masking tape and chalk to make spider web like pictures.
We hope you are all enjoying your home learning, please find today's home learning below.
In reading this week we will be focussing on the super six skill of Making Connections. Using a book of your choice, have a go at making connections between the story and your own experiences.
Are there any characters in the story that are similar to a family member of yours or one of your friends?
How are they similar?
At the moment in writing we will be focusing on writing letters. Today we will be reading our letters to other people in our homes. Does it make sense? Can you tell them about the different choices you have made? Do you need to make any changes? Use a different colour pen or pencil to make these changes.
In mathematics today, we would like you to practise adding two numbers. The activities below are at three levels, pick the level that you think is best for you.
Blue – Pick 2 of your number cards up to 10, what is their total? How many different totals can you make?
Yellow – Choose 2 numbers up to 20, what is their total? Can you find 2 different ways to make the same totals?
Red - Choose 2 numbers over 20 and up to 50, what is their total? Can you find 2 different ways to make the same totals?
Today’s topic lesson is about art.
Look at yourself in the mirror or a photograph of yourself. Can you create a self-portrait using items of your choice? This could be using natural items outside, cutting up magazines to make a collage or using larger items from around the house. Can you take a photograph of your masterpiece or draw a picture of your final piece?
