Smiling, Caring and Learning Together on a Journey with God
Crayons and Creepy Crawlies
We have had a great second week in Hazel class, we have all settled well and are enjoying our new learning!
This week we continued our learning using the book The Day the Crayons Quit. We used the characters feelings as inspiration and thought about how different items of stationary might feel. We thought a ruler is pretty relaxed because they get to lay down all day!
In mathematics we have been using our place value knowledge to help us identify how many tens and ones are in a number. We have been working on using the correct language to explain our answer and ideas and giving reasoning for these.
On Wednesday, we had our outdoor learning session. We really loved getting to go into the conservation and explore the nature for ourselves. We came across lots of spiders and caterpillars too! We used sticks and string to make our very own rafts and tested these out by placing them in the pond.
