Well-Being Wednesday Story with Mrs Smart
Is it really half term?
A BIG WELL DONE!
It's Mrs Smart here. I hope you all managed to have a good Christmas and spent some special moments with your families before we headed into another lockdown. This week has certainly felt very strange coming back into school without lots of your lovely faces.
We have 11 of our Holly children in school and every time we do the register we put the photos up of everyone so that we can say hello to each of you whilst I call your names in the register.
This week, the children have gone dinosaur mad! We have been reading the story Tyrannosaurus Drip by Julia Donaldson and acted out the story in class. Here is a link to a video version which you might like to get your grown-ups to play to you at home so you can join in too.
We have painted a giant T-Rex, which is now up on the wall and ready to scare Mrs Sheppard when she steps into Holly Class on Monday morning!!
One of the children asked whether I would like to have been alive when the dinosaurs were around. What do you think my answer was?!
Here is a dinosaur themed joke for you:
What do you call a dinosaur with only one eye?
I really hope you have been having fun learning at home with your grown-ups. You are doing so brilliantly with your learning at home and so are all your grown-ups in teaching you.
I miss you so much and I'm sending each and every one of you a big Mrs Smart smile and a huge thumbs up. Make sure you get onto Microsoft Teams next week as Miss Chandler and I have made some videos for you to help with your learning.
For now, stay safe and take care of yourselves.
Love from Mrs Smart xxx
