Smiling, Caring and Learning Together on a Journey with God

World Book Day

We had a great week, including learning about Jack and the Beanstalk and celebrating World Book Day.

We have been really busy this week, learning the story of Jack and the Beanstalk. We set up a small world version of this on the tuff tray in the classroom and made some of the story elements using collage materials. We even made a giant foot! We have been writing captions to tell the story in our own words and thinking carefully about different characters on World Book Day. We loved dressing up as our favourites and sharing them with each other.

We learnt about showing kindness in PSED this week and have been trying our best to be kind to each other. We enjoyed helping to keep the mud kitchen equipment tidy by washing up!

In Maths, we have continued to practise our number bonds to 10. In music, we have continued to show appreciation for music and enjoyed listening to "Beyond the Sea" by Robbie Williams. We are building our skills and knowledge by talking about how music makes us feel as well as what we like about it.

Next week, we are looking forward to sharing Red Nose Day together on Friday and wearing something funny for money!

Have a great weekend,

Mrs Castleton, Mrs Lawlor and Mrs Kujawa.
