Nyewood CE Infant School
Smiling, Caring and Learning Together on a Journey with God
Friday 24th April
At school yesterday we made the most of the good weather. We practised our tennis on the field and in the afternoon we built schools using the wooden blocks, watered plants and played on the bikes.
In the morning we made cards for Captain Tom's 100th birthday as well as doing the learning the teachers had set for us.
This week in our reading learning we are going to be looking at the Super Six Skill of Predicting using the book ‘The Dragon Machine’. https://www.booktrust.org.uk/books-and-reading/have-some-fun/storybooks-and-games/the-dragon-machine/
If there was a sequel to this story about George and his new dog (dragon). What adventures do you think they would go on? Draw a picture of your prediction and explain it to someone else!
Today we would like you to practise your phonics and spelling!
Have another go at Phonics Play.
If you would like a challenge, why don’t you try Spelling Play instead! https://www.spellingplay.co.uk/
Today’s mathematics learning will take place throughout the whole day. Grown-ups please get your child to read the time from an analogue clock at different times throughout the day. Keep this up!
Today’s Topic lesson is RE. During RE this half term we are learning about God. Draw a picture of what you think God looks like and label this.
