Smiling, Caring and Learning Together on a Journey with God

Becoming authors, creating passwords and developing spirituality...

We have been busy this week writing up our stories and creating some mashed up fairytales! There has also been lots of great measuring happening. Read on to find out more about our learning...

In Apple class this week we have been really busy, using our story moutains from last week to help us write our stories based on 'The Story Machine'. We came up with some very inventive machines- Zach had one that played football, Oliver thought about one that makes pizzas and Isla wrote about a unicorn making machine. We enjoyed turning our ideas for the stories into books, complete with illustrations.

In Maths we have been practising our measuring skills and using rulers, tape measures and cubes to measure the height and length of objects around the room. Jack remembered that there were 100cm in a metre!

We have been talking about our Spirituality in Worship this week and talking about our 'special places' that help us to feel calm and happy. There were lots of great comments and ideas about these themes, shared by the children. Lots of children said their favourite places involved being outside in nature and the best description of our Spirit was "If you didn't have a Spirit, you wouldn't know who you are". Wow!!

We have been learning about what we should and shouldn't share online and how to make a strong password to keep our information safe in Computing.
