  • Gruffalo crumble and Poppies

    Published 10/11/17, by Leah Holmes

This week in class we continued to read and learn about the Gruffalo. On Monday we made Gruffalo crumble and then wrote instructions on how to make it.

“You peel a banana and mash it with a fork.” David.

“The cookie goes in a bag and you crush it with your fingers.” Blanka.

“You sprinkle the crumbs on the banana and eat it.” Lucy.

After making our crumble we then got to eat it; most of us thought it was very yummy!

“It tastes like banana milkshake." Chloe.

"It is like a banana cookie cake." Charlotte.

    "It feels all soggy." Bethany.

We also learnt about Remembrance day this week and why everybody was wearing poppies.

    We learnt that...

"We remember people who have gone to heaven." Joshua.

"We have to remember those that went to God." Blanka.

"We have a 2 minute silence to think about people." Charlotte.

"It is on the 11th of November." Saakshyat.

“Remembering people who fighted for our country.” Chloe.

We all decorated a poppy with pens, pencil, paper and tissue paper. Then, on Friday, everybody took their poppy to a special worship where we layed them in the shape of a cross.
